Bloom - The Origin of a Prophet 1-4

Created by Ted Sikora

The year is 1969. Ramsey is an aspiring comic book artist who is trying to find inspiration for his femme fatale. When he meets wild dancer, Regina, at a street fair he invites her into the woods for a character photoshoot where she begins to break on through to the other side. Witness the psycho-delic origin of the most powerful character in the Hero Tomorrow Comics universe. A mind-bending 4 issue journey to reshape your reality!

Today Bloom is on the cover of Comic Shop News & Laurie Foster pinup crossover ending soon

BLOOM on the cover of COMIC SHOP NEWS today!!

Laurie Foster as Regina free pinup offer

If you missed our update from a couple weeks ago, Laurie Foster is an inker, editor, occasional cosplayer, and owner of comic publisher, Unlikely Heroes Studios.  Several months ago, after having read Bloom #1, Laurie commented on a thread saying she was thinking about a Regina cosplay, to which I replied…“best idea for a cross promotion EVER!”

Bloom backers at a physical level will get this exclusive (signed by Laurie) comic book sized print free if they also back Miss Medusa's Monstrous Menagerie. It ends in 2 days.

This whole thing is weird between Regina and Miss Medusa. Both stories take place in the 60s, and the Ron Frenz Bloom cover is an homage to Amazing Spider-Man 62 which feature's Marvel's Medusa!

Miss Medusa's Monstrous Menagerie

It's 1963,  and having a carnival of 666 monsters ain't the draw it used to be. Miss  Medusa's Monstrous Menagerie is one of the last two Mythic shows left in the U.S., trucking from one backwater jerkass town to the next. It's dirty work, and sometimes you barely make the nut, but America's still  the land of plenty (of rubes). For this season at least, Miss Medusa's  hiring, and you can still run away and join the circus. (Mythics,  Cryptids, Gods, and Atomics only, please.  Humans need not apply.)

THANK YOU!

THANK YOU X 433!!❤️❤️

Bloom #4 completed last night, and 433 of you smashed our previous backer record of 399 which unlocked the day one bonus Hero Tomorrow Comics surprise back issue for everyone.

You also crossed $13,500 ($13,604 to be exact) unlocking the final day stretch goal, which means every Bloom #4 cover will have an earlier version of itself on the back cover -- like Ron Frenz' free-wheelin' pencils below.

You also unlocked the fourth Bloom vinyl sticker, the Tap Dance Killer bookmark, and most importantly, eight additional pages in this final issue.

I'm so honored to have your support on this campaign. It's scheduled to go the printer in 10 short days, then shipping in early December! You will be getting a survey from Backerkit within the next couple weeks to choose your covers, add-ons, etc.

Thank you sooooo friggin' much! ❤️

Ted Sikora

P.S. Send your thoughts on Bloom 1-3 to [email protected], and/or who would you cast in the movie version as Ramsey & Regina? ;)

Record Broken & Stretch Goals Unlocked!
over 2 years ago – Tue, Nov 02, 2021 at 09:47:42 AM

❤️ THANK YOU ❤️

We broke our record of 399 backers which means everyone gets in on the day one bonus of a surprise free comic from the Hero Tomorrow library. We also crossed $12,000 so now Bloom #4 will be 40 pages instead of 32. That gave me some room to do a new stretch goal which I describe in the video below.

Please share the link  one last time (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/herotomorrow/bloom1-4), and tag a few specific friends when you do. We end tonight!

Happy Halloween!

Recommendations:

EMERALD QUEST

Speaking of Michael Watson, don't miss out on issue #1 of his new series:

The tale of Emerald Quest begins in Allyon; a kingdom renowned for its  beauty, fruitfulness and strong dedicated nations. These nations who  found themselves shattered and swirling in a pool of hopelessness. The how or why of that disastrous history has long since been forgotten and faded to legend. In the current age however, we hear whispers of foul  creatures who lurk in the dark. Soon a hero is needed and presents  herself in the form of a young girl whose determination is indeed  legendary, General Marki.

NIGHTMARE THEATER 2 - Revenge of the Horror Comic Anthology

(The last Nightmare Theater was frigging terrific, I would have contributed a story myself if I wasn't so BLOOMIN' busy!)

Twenty amazing comic teams come together to present an all-new  collection of spine-tingling terror and horror movie-inspired gore.  Writers include Rich Douek (Road of Bones, Sea of Sorrows), Malissa White (Nightmare Reloaded), Shawn Gabborin (Puppet Master, Let’s All Die!), Kat Calamia (Like Father, Like Daughter), Dave Dwonch (Prom of the Dead), Richard Fairgray (Black Sand Beach, Blastosaurus), James Powell (House of Fear), M.L. Miller (Gravetrancers),  Rob Multari (Night Wolf), Phil Falco (Haunting),  Clay Adams (Red Xmas, Deadskins!), & D.E. Schrader (Baby Badass, Rafael Garcia: Henchman, Cannibals on Mars). And featuring artists Emanuele Taglietti, Alex Cormack, Bryan Silverbax, Michael Calero,  Kenan Halilovic, Mick Beyers, Don Cardenas, George Quadros, Jorge Torres, Val Halvorsen, Sonya Kinsey...

...and many, many more!
